PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
(Item #7020) - This Panoramic was taken by Rob Arra
2011 World Series in Busch Stadium, St. Louis, MO - Game 6.
The score is tied at the bottom of the Ninth Inning, with the Series on the line for the Cardinals.
Win, and there's a Game 7... lose, and it's all over.
The air was so thick with tension, you couldn't cut it with a
knife. After falling behind early and often in Game 6 of the 2011 World Series,
the St. Louis fans were on the brink of watching the Texas Rangers celebrate on their home turf.
Down by two with a man on base and two outs in the bottom of the ninth,
David Freese was down to his final strike before launching a two-run triple to the wall in right.
With the game now tied and Yadier Molina at the plate with a chance to send
the series to Game 7 - SNAP! The moment is preserved for all-time, and is now available
for your wall.
While Molina would line out to end the inning, sending the game to the 10th, the drama wasn't done. In the 10th,
the Cards would once again tie the game up after going down to their final strike;
and in the 11th, it was "Freese Time" again, as his leadoff homer sent the fans into a frenzy and the series into Game 7.
This spectacular panoramic print, from legendary sports photographer Rob Arra, captures the Scene as it unfolds.
With the stadium looking spectacular under the lights, it's all laid out in front of you, in perfect color and
crisp detail. And, as an added bonus, the border comes complete with commemorative
titles, official World Series logo, and the final scores of each of the Series' seven games for historical perspective.
Also inset on the main image are photographs of Freese's Home Run celebration,
and the team's championship pile-on a night later after closing out Game 7. Both a stunning view of St. Louis' beautiful stadium, and
a lasting commemoration of the historic evening, this is a truly spectacular work of photographic sports art for your wall!
Whether you attended the game in person, were watching on TV or are simply a lover of historic baseball moments, this print is for you. A true piece
of history for your wall - a perfect centerpiece for your home or office, and a must-have item to add to your collection.
